Paniyiri takes place in Musgrave Park which is located in South Brisbane, Queensland. The park is bordered by Edmondstone, Russell, and Cordelia Streets.

The festival runs from Saturday between 12pm – 10pm and Sunday 10am – 7pm.

We strongly recommend using public transport to travel to Paniyiri as street parking is extremely limited in the South Brisbane precinct. 

Use the TransLink Planner to map your journey by train or bus. If traveling by taxi, or ride booking service like Uber, the address is 49 Russell St, South Brisbane.

 If you are driving there are various paid parking locations around the precinct. 

Check the Paniyiri Facebook page for deals and offers. Please note the paid parking options may include a 10 – 20 min walk to get to the Paniyiri precinct.

You can purchase single entry tickets for Saturday 21 May,  Sunday 22 May or an all weekend pass. 

Limited tickets will be available at the gates and we recommend you pre purchase tickets online. 

Adult tickets | $12 + BF

Child (12 & Under) tickets are free 

Pensioner tickets can be purchased at the gate | $5 

Refunds are available via Oztix (Refer to Terms & Conditions)

Tickets must not be offered for resale including via online sale platforms such as eBay or Gumtree, except via Paniyiri authorised agents. 

 

Valid ticket holders will be granted a stamp that allows them to leave and re-enter the Paniyiri precinct, subject to the following conditions: 

  • Stamps are obtained at the gates or information booth during opening hours 
  • Each ticket-holder can request one stamp and that stamp will only be valid on the day it was issued
  • Paniyiri reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not have a stamp

The majority of stalls will have both cash and EFTPOS facilities available for you to use. However, if you prefer to use cash an ATM is located near The Plateia on Edmondstone Street road closure.

May, the last month of autumn, is usually a beautiful blue sky month for Brisbane with average temperatures ranging from 22°C in the day, dropping down to 15°C at night. But if it rains, the party continues, under umbrellas! 

There will be no refunds for inclement weather. 

Paniyiri is a fully licensed venue but there are some areas such as the kids play zone where alcohol is not permitted. Please check the event map and in park signage to discover where the licensed areas are located. 

The bars will be encouraging guests to use the tap and go payment system but will also accept cash. 

A valid form of I.D showing proof of age will be required to purchase alcoholic beverages. 

We love Greek wine, beer & cocktails as much as you do, but please be mindful this is a family friendly event. 

Any persons found to be intoxicated will be evicted from the festival grounds. 

We recommend you wear dancing shoes and bring your ticket, sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle and your appetite!

No BYO Food or Beverage is permitted on the festival grounds. Paniyiri reserves the right to inspect bags upon entry.

You can’t bring anything else considered dangerous into the Paniyiri precinct as it may be confiscated at entry.

We love dogs but they are NOT permitted within the Paniyiri precinct

  • unless they are clearly identified Assistance Dogs

There will be no charging stations at the festival 

The venue is wheelchair friendly and accessible via any of the three entry gates. 

The festival has a number of disabled toilets located through the venue, including The Greek Club 

Paniyiri relies on hundreds of volunteers to help deliver the festival each year. There are a range of roles available over the weekend including:

Operational Assistants, Information Assistants & General Events Assistants
